2013 NBA Draft: Phoenix Suns May Select Steven Adams With Fifth Pick?

The Phoenix Suns roster needs a lot of help. From big men to guards, there’s really no position they don’t need improvement at.

And apparently, according to Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough, 19 year old big man Steven Adams could be the talent they need as they’re thinking of selecting the former University of Pittsburgh star with the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Per Arizona Central:

“He’s in the mix for five,” Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said of Adams. “We’ve talked to different teams about getting in at different stages in the draft. If I were to guess, at the end of the day, he’d probably end up somewhere in the top of the first round. We have one pick there and maybe we’ll be able to get some more.”

While he may be in the “mix” it’s difficult to envision the Suns reaching for Adams with the fifth overall pick given the other talents available.
