Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach to be Brian Shaw or Lionel Hollins?

The whirlwind event that has been the search for the Los Angeles Clippers head coaching vacancy looks to be finally nearing an end.

According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, the other Los Angeles basketball team has decided upon a coach – well – two coaches, if you will.

Timing unclear, but former Memphis coach Lionel Hollins is not expected to do a 2nd interview. Two-man race independent of Rivers situation.

The Clippers and the Boston Celtics appear to have all but fluttered out on the proposed trade this weekend which would have allowed Celtics head coach Doc Rivers to join the Clipper franchise, leaving the spot for either Shaw or Hollins.

Shaw has been a candidate for nearly every coaching vacancy but has continually fallen short as teams like the Pistons and Nets decided to go with other (name) options.

Hollins has had his fair share of suitors as well with both the Denver Nuggets and the said Clippers showing the most interest in the former Memphis Grizzlies head coach.
