Yesterday news broke that Allen Iverson’s ex-wife had filed court documents claiming he had abducted their children and hadn’t returned them to her. WXIA-TV’s Jeff Hullinger spoke to Allen Iverson as he and his children walked to his car in the parking lot of the Sheraton Suites Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia.
Hullinger informed Iverson of the allegations apparently for the first time.
“They say I stole my own kids?” Iverson asked Hullinger, who offered to show the former All-Star the court documents filed by his ex-wife. “All right.”
“Is that not true?” Hullinger asked.
“That’s up to you to believe,” Iverson responded. “I’m not going to comment on it. If that’s what you believe, and that’s what people think I’m crazy enough to do, then so be it.”
“I ain’t never treated fairly,” Iverson said with a laugh. “I don’t expect to. I don’t expect to be.”
They don’t show the kids in the video to protect their privacy. Hullinger says the kids seemed happy and enjoying their time with their father and even engaged him in conversation.
But at one point in time Allen Iverson was reportedly so broke he couldn’t afford a cheeseburger, but some how he still has a Maybach.
