Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant Has Statue in China

Well Kobe, now you’re just like MJ – you have your own statue.

Of course, it’s a knock off one, probably covered in a lead based paint, but hey – it’s still a statue, dammit.

If fairness to Bryant, it’s only a matter of time until there stands a 6’6 statue in downtown Los Angeles, gracing the front of Staples Center right next to the wonderful Chick Hearn, but this will have to do for now.

Where this statue is from is unknown as it was tweeted out from a random Twitter user who stumbled across the poorly constructed piece, but looking in the background of the photo revels the locale as some type of “sculpture museum”.

I’m not exactly sure what picture they used of Bryant to recreate his face, though, I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark and suggest it’s this one since they look pretty identical/frighting.
