2013 NBA Draft Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Aggressively Shopping No. 1 Pick

According to a report from Sports Illustrated, the Cleveland Cavaliers are ‘aggressively shopping’ the number one overall pick in next week’s 2013 NBA Draft. However, after apparently “overvaluing” the worth of the pick, they are expected to hang onto the selection.

Per Chris Mannix:

Cleveland continues to aggressively shop this pick, according to sources, but one executive said the Cavs “have completely overvalued it.” It’s looking more and more like Cleveland will keep the pick and, despite speculation that it will take everyone from Ben McLemore to Victor Oladipo to Alex Len, league sources expect Noel to be the guy.

The assumption that Cleveland will take Noel isn’t exactly shocking despite a vast amount of reports stating the opposite as the majority, if not all reports coming out this time of the year are nothing more than smokescreens.

As to trading the pick – it was reported yesterday that the Cavs were in discussions for an unnamed small forward, but, that deal apparently never got very far off of the ground.
