After returning to the NBA last season, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrei Kirilenko has a decision to make – stay in the land of 10,000 lakes? Or move on?
The Russian born AK-47, as he’s more famously known as, has an opt-out clause in his contract which would make the talented defender an unrestricted free agent, but with a $10 million dollar payday awaiting him – it’s not making the decision an easy one.
Kirilenko has until June 29, just two days after the 2013 NBA Draft to make his choice:
Per the Star Tribune:
I spoke with Andrei Kirilenko from the south of France just a few minutes ago and he said he probably won’t decide whether to pick up his $10 million-plus option for next year until after next week’s draft.
Kirilenko has until June 29 to make up his mind, a curious date because it’s two days after the June 27 draft.
“I think it will come right after the draft,’” he said of his decision when reached today just after dinnertime in France.
