Alabama's Cyrus Kouandjio Had Offseason Shoulder Surgery

Alabama Crimson Tide left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio is one of the most talented players in college football and he has the makings of a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but he had a minor setback this offseason that required him to miss some time. According to Jerry Fowler of CBS Sports, the star offensive lineman had arthroscopic shoulder surgery this offseason. The good news is that the surgery was nothing serious.

The report states that Kouandjio is already back with the team and able to lift, so that is a clear indication that he is making great improvements and he will be ready to go for the season-opener against Virginia Tech.

Kouandjio’s health is very important to the Crimson Tide, especially AJ McCarron, so the initial news of the surgery had to be a bit of a scare.

Luckily for them, it has all worked out and no serious damage occurred. Now Kouandjio is able to focus on the upcoming season as Alabama looks to complete the three-peat.
