Chicago Blackhawks Expect Marian Hossa to Play in Game 5

Chicago Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa has been an injury concern since being a late scratch during game three, so the news that he missed the team’s morning skate on Friday led many to once again question his availability for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins.

While Hossa missed the skate, the team’s coach wants everyone to know that the team still expects Hossa to participate in tomorrow night’s game.

“Hossa is fine,” ‘Hawks head coach Joel Quenneville said. “We did that [let Hossa skip] in the morning skate the other day. I liked his contribution last game. Defensively, too, you know Hossa is always going to be in the right spot and not give up anything on that end of it.

“Very happy to use him whatever number you want to say percentage that he’s ready at.”

Game 5 takes place on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET. The series is currently tied at two games a piece heading in to the pivotal game.
