Dwight Howard- "I'm Not Watching" The NBA Finals (VIDEO)

While I’m usually hesitant to post anything from TMZ, I found this clip to be interesting. TMZ’s reporters caught up with Dwight Howard and asked him about Game 6 of the NBA Finals and whether he enjoyed it. Dwight says he didn’t watch Game 6 and he has no plans on watching game 7 because he isn’t playing.

He also added that he “doesn’t want to see anyone win.”

Somewhat disrespectful words when you consider a legend like Tim Duncan was competing for a 5th ring in what could have been his final Finals and final game of his career. Tim could have possibly retired like Michael Jordan in ’98 after winning his sixth ring or Ray Lewis after this past Super Bowl. But instead Tim Duncan has suggested he’ll be back for another season.

I transcribed the relevant part of the video for you:

TMZ: “Hey Dwight man, did you enjoy the game?” (referring to game 6)

DH: “I didn’t even see it.”

TMZ: “You didn’t see it? Who do you hope wins game 7?”

DH:  “I’m not watching, I’m not playing.”

TMZ: “Is it tough to watch in this circumstance?”

DH: “Yeah, I don’t want to see anyone win a championship.”
