Game of Thrones: Vote for Season Three Blu Ray Cover Art

Game of Thrones wrapped up it’s third season this month and while some fans are going to extreme measures to be able to see every thrilling moment again, HBO is giving those that wait for the legal way to obtain a copy of the season a really cool opportunity. EA Sports has made a game out of picking cover athletes as they’ve heavily involved the fans who play the game when it comes to selecting who will be on the cover. HBO and Best Buy have copied that idea and are allowing fans of Game of Thrones to vote on which cover they’d like to see on the exclusive Best Buy release of the third season.

Voters can choose between three packaging themes, one which features Tyrion, John Snow and Daenerys while the second option features House Stark, House Targaryen and House Lannister and a third option featuring House Tyrell, House Stannis Baratheon and House Tully.

Each packaging group features three different covers but all three are related to one another. It’s yet another cool way for Game of Thrones to include it’s fans in the series and make it even more personal than it has become over three seasons on the air.

Other outlets will be carrying Game of Thrones in it’s standard Season 3 packaging but the exclusive Best Buy editions are sure to be a hit with fans and go faster than they can be produced.

The voting being on Monday June 24th and runs through July 21st with the winning packaging being announced by Best Buy and HBO on August 2nd. After that it’s a countdown to the release of the third season on Blu Ray which is set for February 18, 2014.
