Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics Agree to Blockbuster Deal Including Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett

It was a deal that we had heard being discussed leading up to the draft, but now it looks like the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics have agreed in principle to a deal that will send veterans Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to the Nets in exchange for a package of players and three first-round picks. The trade completely changes the landscape of the Eastern Conference and will leave the Celtics and their fans looking for answers as their team enters full blown rebuilding mode.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports has more details:

The players reportedly heading to Boston are reportedly Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Reggie Evans, Tornike Shengalia and Keith Bogans. However, only Wallace seems like a sure thing.

While the deal is agreed to in principle, the deal cannot be processed until after July 10.

boston got the better of the deal. while the nets will be much better in the long run a couple of the players might work out for boston and if they don’t they can always move them for more picks. but getting 3 first rounders for 2 aging stars? the future looks bright in boston if they get the right coach.
