Dwight Howard Will Give Los Angeles Lakers Last Chance to Re-Sign Him

The Los Angeles Lakers clearly don’t want to lose Dwight Howard but the big man is destined to test the free agent market.

Scheduled to meet with a handful of teams, Howard will give the Los Angeles Lakers the final opportunity to sell him on their plans.

According to Mike Bresnahan, Dwight will meet with the Lakers last and compare what they say to any other potential suitors:

Lakers have been told they’ll get to meet with Dwight Howard after he visits other teams. They’ll get the last word…they hope.

There aren’t many teams who can readily sign Howard outright, so the Lakers competition will be slim but the teams hoping to lure Howard their way will have some heavy sway.

It’s difficult to picture Dwight actually leaving the bright lights of Los Angeles, especially given his love of attention (which is why he’s going through all of this in the first place) so we’ll see just how serious his threats of leaving really are.
