We figured the Dallas Mavericks would make mores moves to save cap room to make a run at Dwight Howard in free agency. It appears they have just traded the pick they just received minutes ago from the Boston Celtics.

You’ve already heard his name many times already and expect to hear his name many more times this evening.

Adrian Wojnarowski of !Yahoo Sports has just reported that the Mavericks have traded the No. 16 pick and Jared Cunningham to the Atlanta Hawks for the No. 18 pick and No. 44 picks.

The Dallas Mavericks have selected Miami Point Guard Shane Larkin with the No. 18 pick. Dallas has decided to keep the pick as they were looking to fill that void.

Larkin led the Miami Hurricanes to their best season in the history of the program. The Hurricanes were ranked as high as No. 2 in the country and made it to the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Marquette.
