NBA Draft 2013: Oklahoma City Thunder Failed to Complete Trade For No. 1 Pick

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been actively trying to jump to the top of the 2013 NBA Draft order, but they were unsuccessful with their biggest attempt at a jump. The Thunder reportedly hoped to land to No.1 overall pick that belonged to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they ultimately fell short.

From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

With the failed attempt at landing the No. 1 overall pick, the Thunder will continue to put out feelers for the No. 2 pick, which belongs to the Orlando Magic.

The hope for Oklahoma City is that they can move up to select Indiana’s Victor Oladipo. Oladipo is viewed by many as the safest pick in the draft and that he could be one of the best defensive players. If the Thunder fail to land the No. 2 pick, there is no telling what direction they could look to go when they are on the clock.
