It’s been a rumor filled afternoon – one that is only going to gain more momentum as the draft nears.

One such rumor hitting hard right now would be from ESPN’s Chris Broussard, who is hinting the Toronto Raptors are attempting to trade into the top five of tonight’s NBA Draft.

Per Broussard:

Also hearing that Toronto is looking to grab the No. 2 pick. Not sure who they’re targeting, but Oladipo is an educated guess….

Toronto does not own a pick in the 2013 NBA Draft so it’s not known what they’d be parting with in such a deal.

The most likely scenario would be trading the contract of point guard Kyle Lowry, who does not have a fully guaranteed deal for the upcoming season.

With limited tradeable assets, it’s difficult to envision such a deal being completed, but stranger things have taken place.

In need of a two guard, Oladipo would be a wonderful fit for the Raptors, but Kyle Lowry’s contract, a future first rounder and change aren’t going to get it done.

We have Derozan and Ross at the SG spot so if we did acquire this pick i think we take Otto or Bennett.
