Draft Grade: A-

With the 5oth overall pick in the draft, the Atlanta Hawks selected James Ennis, a swingman from Long Beach State. This pick was moved to Miami, as the Heat continue to compile cheap, second round talent.

Ennis is 6′ 7″ and an adequate outside shooter. The size and athleticism will be welcomed in Miami, in addition to his defensive ability. He isn’t terribly skilled as far as creating shots or putting the ball on the floor, but it isn’t a bad fit based on the cheap production coach Erik Spoelstra and the Miami front office is looking for.
