2013 NBA Draft Results: Philadelphia 76ers Live Draft Grade

Draft Grade: B+

The Sixers selected Pierre Jackson, point guard from Baylor with the #42 pick, the twelfth pick in the second round, and sent him to the New Orleans Pelicans. Jackson is just 5′ 10″, but could be  good spark plug off the bench in the NBA. He’s a good shooter, and if he is quick enough to defend at the NBA level, he’ll find a career as a back-up point guard.

Jackson didn’t have a lot of talent surrounding him towards the end of his Baylor career, and playing with Anthony Davis will be a lot of fun, and a boon for Jackson’s rookie season. Hopefully he gets the chance to play a little bit over the terrible Austin Rivers, but the Pelicans should be pretty fun to watch moving forward.
