2013 NBA Draft Results: San Antonio Spurs Live Draft Grade

Draft Grade: B+

The San Antonio Spurs selected Ohio State swingman DeShaun Thomas with the #58 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Thomas was the number one scoring option for the Buckeyes in 2012-13, but his lack of a consistent jump shot was one of the main reason for his slide into the very late second round.

Thomas is a good pick for a team like the Spurs. They don’t need him, but they may as well see what they have. He has good size and should be a solid professional for the Spurs in Summer League and training camp, and may have a shot at squeaking onto the roster.
