Detroit Pistons, Rasheed Wallace Discussing Potential Coaching Gig

If Jason Kidd can do it, why not anyone else? Just months after retiring, reports are surfacing that Rasheed Wallace is in talks with the Detroit Pistons to become an assistant coach on Maurice Cheeks coaching staff.

From Frank Isola of the New York Daily News:

This could be fun.

Wallace was incredibly successful during his time as a player in Detroit, with his four all-star appearances and an NBA title win. Wallace also spent time with Cheeks in the Pacific Northwest when they were with the Portland Trail Blazers.

It would be very interesting and entertaining to see how Wallace would be able to keep his emotion and passion under wraps on the sideline.

If Wallace could keep his emotions under control and direct his energy towards coaching, Wallace may turn out to be a valuable assistant for Cheeks on the Pistons staff.
