NBA Draft 2013: Atlanta Hawks Trade James Ennis To Miami Heat

The Atlanta Hawks have traded the 50th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft to the Miami Heat, and with that selection they chose James Ennis of Long Beach State. Ennis is the first player drafted from Long Beach State since 1998. This small forward has a great perimeter dominance, as well as high explosiveness. He’s a quick athlete who does have some struggles handling the ball, but his pros outweigh his cons.

Last year he posted averages of 16.5 points, 6.7 rebs, 2.1 assists per game. He can contribute, he just needs an little improvement. But he’ll be on the two time defending champion Miami Heat squad, a team that is good at making young players perform at a high level on a fairly consistent basis. It will be interesting to e what the Heat will do with Ennis in the coming years.

Do you have any opinions of your own on this trade? If so, just put a comment down below, I would love to hear what you have to say about Ennis or the pick in general.
