The Auburn Tigers are removing some previous restrictions in an effort to revamp the university’s tailgating atmosphere. Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs announced that the school would be adding 2,000 new parking spots around Jordan-Hare Stadium in an effort to provide students with more parking and tailgating options.
“The great thing about it is it’s going to be great for our fans,” Jacobs said, via AL.com. “It increases the overall mission of what we’re trying to accomplish on game day.
“Management wanted to create some additional spots for people who want that type of experience. You can come over here and park for free and pitch your tent, or you can go over here and have a turnkey operation, whatever you like.”

Jacobs went on later in the report to add that this expansion is just the beginning.
Auburn is working with other location to free up even more parking spaces for the fans.
