Although many reports have been suggesting that NBA teams are treating Chris Paul‘s impending free agency as already over, as they expect him to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, that isn’t stopping Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
While he wouldn’t mention them by name specifically as he didn’t want to get in trouble with the NBA for tampering, Mark Cuban did say that he will be flying to Los Angeles in the near future as he has meetings set up with a “couple different players”.
It shouldn’t take much brain power to figure out who those two players are.
Per the Dallas Morning News:
Cuban was at Dr. Pepper Ballpark on Friday to take some practice swings before Dirk Nowitzki’s Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game on Saturday. The Mavs owner didn’t get into specifics when questioned about the team having enough space to sign Howard. Cuban also declined getting into details about individual free agents because of fear of being fined by the league.
However, he did say: “We’re going to go out to L.A. We’ve set a meeting date with a couple of different players.”
