While the Portland Trail Blazers were initially one of a handful of teams who reportedly had interest in signing former Los Angeles Laker and Philadelphia 76ers big man Andrew Bynum, Chris Haynes says that is not the case.

The Blazers beat writer says a high level source informed him that the Blazers have no interest in bringing Bynum to Portland.

Per Haynes:

#Blazers fans you can relax. GM Neil Olshey isn’t interested/pursuing Andrew Bynum, according to well-placed source. Not going there!

Bynum of course was traded to the Sixers last season in a four team deal that brought Dwight Howard to Los Angeles. Well known knee problems continued for Bynum which resulted in the big man never even suiting up during his lone year in Philadelphia.

Now a free agent, Bynum is hoping a team will take a chance on the once productive big man but his suitors appear to be dropping by the day.

Portland is expected to make a run at fellow free agent Carl Landry however.
