2K Sports Releases First Image of NBA 2K14 on PS3, XBox 360 (Photo)

The long anticipated wait is over – 2K Sports finally released the first screen shot of NBA 2K14 which features cover athlete LeBron James bringing the ball up court, NBA Finals patch and all.

Impressed?

Yeah, me either.

The art certainly looks more refined from past years, but it’s not exactly brimming with change when compared to something from NBA 2K13.

Ronnie 2K, the source for anything and everything 2K Sports related released the image on his Twitter account just minutes ago which isn’t exactly drawing rave reviews by checking out his mentions or the Instagram comments.

So what do you think? Is 2K already looking over the PS3 and XBox 360 versions for their more powerful big brothers in the PS4 and XBox One? Or are they simply at the limitation for what they can do on the current platform?

I will admit that it does look better than 2K13, but, the change is relatively minimal in my opinion. The lighting looks more well defined than in 2K13.

The PS3 and XBox 360 versions are scheduled for release on October 1st for $59.99. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 version of the game do not have a release date yet though are expected to retail for the same price.

I think I’ll be skipping the PS3 version and opting for the PS4.
