Golden State Warriors May Trade David Lee

The Golden State Warriors are one of the teams that are in the mix for top free agent target Dwight Howard, but the first news coming from the franchise during the free agency period is the report that they are considering trading All-Star forward David Lee, who is recovering from a torn hip flexor. The news comes from Yahoo! Sports.

Lee has three years, $44 million remaining on his contract, so it would make sense for the team to shed his contract if possible.

The team has explored trade options for Lee throughout the offseason with the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers, but they were unable to secure a deal. It will be interesting to see how things may work on the Lee trade front moving forward.

Free agency kicks off just after midnight, so be sure to stay tuned to FanSided.com throughout the free agency period as we keep you up to date with the latest news and rumors from around the league.
