The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking for a player to fill in at the shooting guard spot, and the team’s general manager Flip Saunders will meet with J.J. Redick on Monday, according to Darren Wolfson.
Flip's meetings today with the Wasserman guys — Redick, Dunleavy Jr., maybe Dorell Wright — are scheduled for the Wilshire Hotel. #twolves

The Wolves have quite a few options, but it’s obvious that landing a two-guard in this summer’s free agency will be key.
Redick played for the Orlando Magic and the Milwaukee Bucks last season. He was having a great season with the Magic, but the team soon realized that Redick would have to be paid a lot more once he entered free agency and moved him to the Bucks. In return they got a package involving Tobias Harris, who went on to finish the season very strong for the Magic.
Redick can be a starter or come off the bench, but would probably start if he was to sign with Minnesota. He is great playing off the ball, and putting him next to Ricky Rubio woud almost certainly lead to success. Redick would add another perimeter threat to the team, and would create a great offensive backcourt with the Spanish point guard.
