Kentucky Basketball To Lose A Player?

It has been reported that Kyle Wiltjer, a forward for the Kentucky Wildcats could be leaving John Calipari and the rest of the team before the start of the next season. At this point in time, if Wiltjer does decide to transfer out of Kentucky, it seems his first choice would be Gonzaga. There are many people who don’t think he should leave or will leave. John Calipari is one of those people; he has already said numerous times that he wants Wiltjer to stay with the team. Kyle’s father doesn’t know if he will leave the Wildcats.

In an article from the Portland Tribune, Greg Wiltjer, father of Kyle, said,

Kyle is still a Kentucky Wildcat, he loves being a Kentucky Wildcat. He’s not 100 percent committed to transferring.

Kyle has three options to look at along with his decision, whatever that may be. The article mentioned it as well, that he could either play for Kentucky, redshirt at Kentucky, or transfer. If he were to either redshirt at Kentucky or transfer, he would still miss the next year of basketball. But it would also give him an extra year to improve some of his skills like his agility and strength.
