The Confederations Cup just ended with Brazil winning it’s 4th title, and third in a row. This one came on their home turf as they thrashed Spain 3-0 behind Neymar’s foot.

One big soccer fan in the NBA besides the interational imports is Kobe Bryant.

“Passion for football is at another level, without a doubt,” Bryant said, via FIFA.com. “It´s clear to see the fans arriving at the stadium here today are making a point of demonstrating their allegiance to their team, or country in this case. That only happens now and then in the NBA – in the play-offs and finals. Football is different. It’s more like a religion. Growing up in Italy gave me first-hand experience of the fans’ intense love of football from an early age. And I can guarantee you it’s unique.”

His point about fans loyalty could be accurate for most teams in the league. The Miami Heat were down 5 points in game 6 and looking at elimination. Heat fans bailed out, only for Miami to force overtime and eventually win. They begged to be let back in but weren’t allowed. Chris Bosh said he didn’t want them at game seven.
