NBA Free Agency 2013: Brandan Wright Receiving Plenty of Interest

The Dallas Mavericks have interest in bringing back their back up center Brandon Wright, but it quickly become obvious that the team will have some competition for the big man when a number of teams from the Eastern Conference began lining up as soon as free agency began.

From the ESPN Dallas report:

The Mavericks would like to bring Brandan Wright back to Dallas, but there are several teams interested in the high-flying, high-efficiency backup big man’s services. According to a source, the Mavs, Atlanta HawksOrlando MagicDetroit PistonsToronto Raptors and New York Knicks all expressed interest in Wright during the opening hours of free agency.

Wright would be a great back up for the team if they are able to land Dwight Howard, and that certainly is on the mind of the Dallas front office.

We will have to see if the money on the open market will be enough to lure Wright away from Dallas or if he will stay with the Mavs in hopes of having a chance at winning an NBA Championship.

Free agency kicked off just after midnight, so be sure to stay tuned to throughout the free agency period as we keep you up to date with the latest news and rumors from around the league.
