The Dallas Mavericks failed to submit a qualifying offer for point guard Darren Collison which made him an unrestricted free agency. With Collison now on the open market, it didn’t take long for a team to reach out and show interest. According to reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking at Collison for some potential depth behind star Kyrie Irving.

If Cleveland could secure Collison, they would find themselves with one of the best back ups in the league.
He may not be a player that has demanded a lot of attention so far during his career, but he is more than a serviceable back up that provides quality depth.
