It’s been a busy day for Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans, which will only get busier as the day goes on.
In addition to meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans as free agency broke this morning, Evans has also already met with his current team, the Sacramento Kings. Now, it’s being reported that not only will he visit with the Golden State Warriors but he’ll also meet with the Detroit Pistons.
Per Jason Jones:
Tyreke Evans will meet with Detroit next
Unlike Golden State and New Orleans, who would need to sign and trade for Evans, the Pistons have enough money to sign Evans – assuming they wanted to renounce the rights to point guard Jose Calderon. It’s also possible the Pistons could attempt to lure the Kings to move Evans in a potential sign and trade, though, their tradeable assets are limited.
It’s been reported that Evans is looking for a contract that will pay him at least $10 million annually, a price that the Kings may balk at according to some sources close to the team.
