The Washington Wizards have been in the market for a backup point guard for quite some time, even dating back to last season. Unfortunately for the Wizards, they struck out but they were determined not to miss the boat this go around.
According to the Washington Post’s Michael Lee, the Wizards and guard Eric Maynor have agreed on a multi-year deal, though terms have not been disclosed.

Maynor, who spent nearly all of his career as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this past season, who opted not to re-sign the four year NBA veteran.
The former Virginia Commonwealth star has struggled to see the floor during his short NBA career, especially on the stacked Thunder. Maynor did see a bit of extended time with the Blazers, averaging 21 minutes in 27 games for Portland. Maynor put up 7 points and 4 assists in those 20 plus minutes of action.
