Chase Budinger is a popular man. The free agent is meeting face-to-face with the Minnesota Timberwolves to kick off the free agency period, but he is also drawing interest from a number of teams around the league. One of the latest teams to emerge as a potential suitor for the former Arizona standout is the Los Angeles Lakers.

Budinger could be an interesting option for the Lakers.
If he can fully recover from his previous knee injury, Budinger is an incredibly athletic player that could strive under Mike D’Antoni. It’s a little known fact, but Budinger was once an indoor volleyball star, so you can add that useless bit of knowledge to impress your friends about the man who could soon be joining your favorite team.
Free agency kicks off just after midnight, so be sure to stay tuned to FanSided.com throughout the free agency period as we keep you up to date with the latest news and rumors from around the league.
