The Milwaukee Bucks have set their free agent hopes high this year, attempting to swoon both Josh Smith and Andre Iguodala. And while it’s nice to have lofty goals, it’s unlikely the Bucks will find much success in those endeavors but that doesn’t mean they’re going to strike out completely.
According to Gary Woelfel, the Bucks and free agent Chase Budinger have ‘strong’ mutual interest in each other:

Budinger, who most recently played for the Minnesota Timberwolves was thought to be a restricted free agent by many however, a few notable scribes have said that’s not the case – Budinger is an unrestricted free agent.
There’s been no word of any financials yet, but Budinger has been a hot commodity through the first twelve or so hours of NBA free agency and would be a solid coup for the Bucks assuming the price is right.
The four year NBA veteran holds a career average of 9 points and 3 rebounds a game in limited minutes.
