The Golden State Warriors had something special this past season and would like nothing more than to keep their core intact. That core features both Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack, who are now free agents.

While Jack’s contract simply ran out, Landry on the other hand opted out of his deal with the Warriors earlier this week which would have paid him $4 million dollars for the upcoming season. Both have expressed a desire to return to the Warriors and the Dub’s would love to bring both back as evidenced by their front office contacting both players soon as they were allowed to via the NBA rules:

Predictably, and with good reason, the Warriors reached out to key free agents Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry at the outset of free agency.

The Warriors may find difficulty in bringing both players back as they currently have an elevated payroll which could lead them into the luxury tax if both Landry and Jack returned. It might be a price they’re willing to pay however, assuming they do really want to keep the team together.
