The Los Angeles Clippers wont have much money to spend in free agency once they re-sign Chris Paul to his max contract, but they do want to bring back some of their own free agents.
Earlier today we heard that the Clippers wanted to bring back Lamar Odom and Matt Barnes and according to Brad Turner, the Clippers and Barnes are in the process of hammering out a deal.
The Clippers have called Matt Barnes’ agent about him returning to the team, sources. Both sides working on a deal.
The Clippers aren’t the only team with interest in Barnes as it’s been reported the Los Angeles Lakers also have a desire for the small forward, but it appears Barnes is happy with the other Los Angeles team and would welcome a return.
Barnes has spent the vast majority of his basketball career in LA, attending UCLA and playing both for the Lakers and Clippers for a combined four seasons.
He averaged over 10 points and 4.6 rebounds a game last year.
