Notre Dame Fighting Irish defensive tackle Louis Nix is one of the top interior line prospects in college football and he has been receiving plenty of praise for his body of work at the collegiate level this far. Nix has the ability to be a dominant nose tackle and the film shows that. One former NFL draft scout watched Nix’s performance throughout the past few years and came away with comparisons to Green Bay Packers defensive lineman B.J. Raji.
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com finished his evaluation of Notre Dame’s defense and passed along his thoughts of the comparison.
Finished up ND defense. Nix reminds me of B.J. Raji coming out of BC. Strong base, quick hands…Tuitt Reminds me of a better Chris Canty.

Not only are the playing styles similar, but Nix and Raji share the same physique.
If Nix would have entered the NFL Draft last season, he likely would have been one of the top picks in the draft. Now that he will have another year of college ball and development under his belt, Nix can only watch his draft stock rise.
He will certainly be one of the more entertaining players to watch this season and if your team is in need of a presence at nose tackle you should be playing close attention to Nix.
