While the Dallas Mavericks appear confident in their efforts to lure Dwight Howard to Big D, it’s going to take some heavy persuasion according to ESPN.
ESPN Los Angeles reporter Ramona Shelburne says while you can’t count out Dallas, both Los Angeles and Houston appear to be Dwight Howard’s favorites.
Houston and Lakers seen as Dwight’s top two choices. But never count out Mavs. Howard’s agent Dan Fegan and Cuban are especially close
As we all know though from the original Dwightmare in Orlando, the attention loving Howard can change his mind at the flick of a switch and with ten days to go before he can officially sign, I’d expect his favorite choices will alternate on a near daily basis.
One such factor not being reported much would be the amount of state income tax Howard would have to pay in California compared to Texas, who does not have a state income tax. That could eat into the difference that Los Angeles could offer Howard with their Bird Rights.
Only ten more days, folks. Ten more days.
