Steve Nash Tells Dwight Howard Los Angeles Lakers Will Build Him a Statue

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash is apparently en route from New York to LA with intentions to meet with free agent Dwight Howard, at least according to his Twitter.

Nash presumably will be part of the Lakers pitch which will involve a handful of current and former Laker greats attempting to swoon Howard into staying with the storied franchise.

Hoping to one up teams like the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, Nash wants Dwight to know that if he stays in Los Angeles, he’ll love the statue ‘we’ are going to build him – ‘we’ being the Lakers, apparently.

Per Nash’s Twitter account:

Flying from NYC to LA. @DwightHoward we’re coming for you. You’re going to love the statue we build for you outside Staples in 20yrs!

While it’s a solid effort on Nash’s part, I’m pretty sure Dwight wont ever be getting a statue outside of the Staples Center which is currently flanked by a bronze rending of broadcasting great Chick Hearn, who will eventually be joined by Kobe Bryant.
