Now that murder allegations have come to light, many are wondering how former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez went from player under Urban Meyer with the Florida Gators to making it big time with Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Meyer wants no part in the conversation.

It’s a question Meyer is likely going to be asked the rest of his life, and rightfully so. Ben Axelrod of BuckeyeGrove.com says Meyer is refusing to talk to the media about his former player:

Meyer, now head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, is going to have to talk about Hernandez at one point or another. Many would like to know exactly what he told NFL teams about Hernandez leading up to the draft. Was he being completely honest? Or was he trying to do right by his player and increase his draft stock?

At some point Meyer will reveal the details, especially once everything pertaining to the case(s) plays out. It appears right now he is content with letting the silence become deafening.
