Last week, the Chicago Bulls decided to let go of top assistant coach Ron Adams which didn’t sit well with head coach Tom Thibodeau who went on to release his own statement expressing his unhappiness with Adams’ departure.
Thibodeau in statement: “Ron is a great friend, an outstanding coach and I will miss him.”
The decision wasn’t Thib’s to make and he played no role in it, something Bulls general manager Gar Forman was quick to point out. However, despite Gar’s willingness to take the blame for it, it didn’t help their already strained relationship which Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojarowski reports is ‘the worst in the league’.
@KCJHoop reports on Gar Forman’s dismissal of Tom Thibodeau’s top aide, relationship between Bulls’ GM and coach easily worst in NBA.
While disagreements will most certainly take place between coaches and executives, it’s not exactly a winning formula to have your head coach and general manager constantly at odds – something that appears to be taking form in the Bulls’ front office.
