Anderson Silva Will Be Granted Immediate Rematch if He Loses to Chris Weidman

Everyone seems to believe that Anderson Silva is in for the toughest test of his career on Saturday night when he defends his title against undefeated challenger Chris Weidman and many believe that the champion will be losing his title at the end of the night.

If that is the case, UFC president Dana White says that Silva will be granted an immediate rematch and the chance to reclaim his title.

I’d do the rematch the next fight,” White on Monday told MMAjunkie.com. “Guy hasn’t lost in the UFC ever, has beat everybody. He loses that fight, he’s the guy for a rematch if he wants it.”

It would be hard to argue that.

Silva has been the greatest fighter in the world and he proved that once he joined the UFC, so it would be unfair for the organization to do anything other than offer him the immediate title shot.

The champion has taken down every contender the UFC has put in front of him, so when he finally goes down he deserves the opportunity to get back in the octagon looking to reclaim his belt.

What do you think? Should Silva have the opportunity for an immediate rematch? Sound off in the comments section and let your voice be heard.
