You may or may not remember former MTV VJ Kennedy, who was essentially the face of MTV during the early 90′s. In addition to her television work (which didn’t stop with MTV), Kennedy is also a published author and radio show host.
The former host of “Alternative Nation” says in her new book that during a dinner with Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons and Michael Jordan, the great one decided to pull out a pair of dice from his pocket and decided it was “time to play for something”.
Kennedy — who was a huge MTV VJ back in the ’90s — details the encounter in her new book “The Kennedy Chronicles” … explaining how she was having dinner with MJ and Russell Simmons at the Bowery Bar in NYC, when Michael broke out some dice.
Before long, Kennedy says, Jordan decided it was “time to play for something” … and said, “If I win, you come back to my hotel room with me tonight.”
Kennedy says she freaked out because she was a virgin so she asked if they could play for Knicks tickets instead.
And that’s when Jordan allegedly reminded Kennedy he had a wife — and offered her Nets tickets as a consolation.
The story obviously needs to be taken with a grain of salt considering, well, everything. Kennedy is obviously trying to sell a book here but then again, the story is almost too random and out there not to be true.
