It was reported about an hour ago that the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kevin Martin were nearing an agreement on a contract and now, according to Yahoo Sports, the two sides have agreed on a four y ear deal worth $28 million dollars. The contract could include incentives would could push the deal to nearly $30 million.

Per Wojo:

Free agent Kevin Martin has reached agreement on a four year, $28 million deal with Minnesota, league source tells Y! Sports.

The agreement is somewhat of a blow to the Oklahoma City Thunder, not so much because they expected Martin back, rather, they hoped to move Martin in a sign and trade if they couldn’t re-sign him. Of course, Martin can’t officially sign until July 10th which does give the two teams some time to potentially hammer out a deal.

Martin will reunite with his former coach, Rick Adelman, who coached Martin for his first two professional seasons when he was a Sacramento King.
