Free agent forward Elton Brand could soon be heading home. With Brand available on the open market, the New York Knicks are reportedly working on an offer that could bring Brand back to his home state.

From Jared Zwerling of ESPN New York:

The Knicks are expected to place Amar’e Stoudemire on a minute limit next season, so adding Brand would provide them with some quality depth at the position. Bringing Brand in to a front court that already includes Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani in the rotation can only help the Knicks chances of making a deep playoff run in 2014.

Free agency kicked off just after midnight on Monday, so be sure to stay tuned to throughout the free agency period as we keep you up to date with the latest news and rumors from around the league.
