NBA Free Agency: Denver Nuggets Offer Andre Iguodala Five Years, $63 Million?

The Denver Nuggets have said they’re ‘100%’ confident Andre Iguodala will return after opting out of his contract last month.

They might want to bump up the money, if that’s the case.

According to Brandon Krisztal of 104.3 The Fan in Denver, the Nuggets have offered Iguodala a five year contract worth $63 million, well off the max deal they could offer.

Per Krisztal:

I just heard from a well informed source that The #Nuggets 1st offer to Iguodala was 5yrs $63 Million…

Granted, it is a first offer which gives the Nuggets wiggle room but at an average of $12.5 (give or take) probably isn’t going to get it done. Some reports have linked the Sacramento Kings as a suitor who will offer Iguodala the max, a team who appears enamored with the former Arizona Wildcat.

The Nuggets do have the ability to give Iguodala an extra year however, which could be the trump card in any negotiations.

Either way, Nuggets, Kings or any other team – it’s a hefty price to pay for a one time NBA All-Star.
