NBA Free Agency: Kobe Bryant's Meeting With Dwight Howard 'Straight Forward'

A contingency of Los Angeles Lakers, including the front office, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant met with Dwight Howard for a good portion of the day, a meeting which included pitches from a handful – one of them being Kobe Bryant.

Bryant spoke to Dwight about returning to the Lakers, but it wasn’t elaborate or long winded, rather, short and to the point.

According to Yahoo:

Source on Kobe Bryant’s message to Dwight Howard in Lakers meeting: “Straight forward. He talked about winning mostly.”

It’s not exactly a secret that Bryant has his issues with Howard, though, both are certainly cordial to each other. Bryant at times has appeared frustrated with Dwight’s desires outside of the basketball world, something Kobe doesn’t really understand as his main goal is winning.

Still, Bryant’s fully aware the Lakers need Dwight and he was more than willing to convey that during the afternoon long meeting between the two sides.

Dwight is now expected to take a few days off to ‘think’ (read: play XBox) about the decision he faces.
