With a completely different front office and coaching staff, the Denver Nuggets are going to want to bring in their own talent, which could result in the trading of point guard Andre Miller.
Miller, who has spent two seasons in Denver isn’t considered part of the Nuggets long term plan and has a relatively friendly contract would could be moved easily, especially given the market for point guards.
Given that, it appears the Denver Nuggets will explore their options and attempt to trade Miller this Summer:
Source says Nuggets guard Andre Miller could be traded this summer. Doesn’t fit in long-term future & George Karl, who loved Miller, is gone
It makes obvious sense. Miller, while still talented is essentially an expiring contract as his deal next year isn’t guaranteed. In addition, the former University of Utah star is 37 years old and nearing retirement. If the Nuggets can get anything of value for him, they should.
Point guard are always valuable, especially to teams with intentions to play deep into May, so the market for Miller should be an easy sell.
