A date for the highly anticipated rematch between UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and challenger Miesha Tate finally has a date. The UFC announced on Tuesday that Rousey vs. Tate II will take place on December 28 in Las Vegas at UFC 168.

The two women are currently wrapping up filming of season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter reality series in a season that is sure to add to the hype leading up to the fight. Rousey and Tate are fierce rivals that have serious dislike for one another and we should get a closer look at that when the two are coaching during this season.

UFC president Dana White has had nothing but positive things to say about the upcoming season of TUF and he clearly believes that the drama and animosity between the two fighters will lead to a perfect build up to UFC 168.

“Ronda and Miesha is just – leading up to that fight, that’s going to be nasty,” White said, via MMA Junkie.

The Ultimate Fighter season 18 kicks off September 4 on FOX Sports 1 and you can expect the build up to the Rousey vs. Tate II pay-per view to must-see television.
