New Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri has made his impact felt early and often with the team and he could potentially be working towards completing a deal that would send Rudy Gay to the Detroit Pistons.
While Gay may be one of the team’s players, it looks like the Raptors are content tanking the season for a shot at Andrew Wiggins rather than looking to be competitive.
In that regard, a move would make complete sense.

If this is the deal that officially goes through, it is hard to say that the Raptors don’t come away on top.
Whether or not a deal actually takes place remains to be seen, but we should expect some intense trade talks as both sides look to make things work.
